Welcome to the D-Street Band! We're a weekly music class for young people in Truro, Nova Scotia. We make music, have fun, and play concerts in the community. Everyone is welcome!
A multi-instrument, multi-age, multi-level ensemble.
Multi-instrument
Ukuleles, guitars, pianos, recorders and more. Students may select a primary and a secondary instrument. Percussionists are required to have a secondary instrument.
Multi-age
The minimum age for students in the D Street Band is 6 years old but there is no maximum age! Parents are encouraged to attend rehearsals and to play long with the band.
Multi-level
The D Street Band welcomes beginners and experienced players alike. Our lessons and arrangements aim to engage students at the level of challenge appropriate for them.
The D Street Band meets every Wednesday at 4pm at Douglas Street Recreation Centre, 40 Douglas St, Truro, NS
